Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

The Highland Cattle Society are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was Patron of our Society for 70 years, her dedication to farming and rural life will never be forgotten. Our deepest sympathy goes to her family at this sad time.

Gusgurlach of Balmoral, overall champion at the Royal Highland Show

Her Majesty’s Highland bull was the star of the Royal Highland Show back in June. The 3-year-old Gusgurlach of Balmoral, who also reigned supreme at last year’s Royal Highland Showcase event, was tapped out by the judge, Donald MacNaughton as his Overall Champion. This Tomintoul of Glamis Castle son and out of Bhadair Ruadh 44th of Balmoral, was bred by Her Majesty The Queen and expertly shown by Dochy Ormiston.
