Notice is hereby given that the Extraordinary Members Meeting of the members of Highland Cattle Society will be held at The Royal Hotel, Oban on Saturday 12 February 2022 at 6pm prompt and by Zoom. Members will be contacted with instructions on how to register for the meeting. Members are reminded that under rule 5 anyone in arrears of their subscription or other amounts due to the Society shall be refused admission to any meeting of the Society or to any privileges of membership.

Why is it an EMM and not an AMM (AGM)?

Many members have asked "Why is the February 2022 Meeting an EMM and not an AMM (AGM)?”

The Society does not have annual accounts to present at the meeting in February 2022. The October 2022 meeting will have annual accounts presented for 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022, along with all other business matters and will therefore be an Annual Members Meeting (AGM).

The Society does have all other ‘AGM’ matters to attend to, appointment of Trustees, etc., therefore not an Annual Members Meeting (AGM) but an Extraordinary Members Meeting. This will re-align the annual reporting cycle as a result of 31 March change to year end, as part of the work transfer to be a SCIO.
