Congratulations to all the prize winners and thank you to everyone who took the time to enter this year’s Summer Show. A huge thank you to both of our judges for all the time they gave to their appointment, to every member who entered and took part and, of course, to our sponsor, Direct Rosettes.
Great Yorkshire Show 2021
Congratulations must go to everyone involved in staging the largest Agricultural Show since 2019! The GYS Committee, Directors and staff worked tirelessly to make sure the event was a safe Covid show for everyone.
Royal Highland Showcase Event 2021
It certainly felt like the show scene was starting up again watching exhibitors prepare their animals to be shown. Highland Cattle breeders turned out to show their stock and had the largest number of entries on the day.
130th Annual Spring Sale 2021 (Live Online)
A recent online sale of Highland cattle conducted by Aberdeen and Northern Marts saw trade reach a top of 2400gns for an in-calf cow from the Hunters fold.
Oban Autumn Sale 2020
The Highland Cattle Society Autumn Sale of Pedigree Cattle took place on Monday, October 12, 2020. The market was a lot quieter than normal due to current COVID-19 restrictions with only vendors and buyers allowed to attend.

Oban Spring Show and Sale 2020
History was made at the Highland Cattle Society’s 129th Annual Spring Show and Sale at Oban on Sunday, 10th February, when the Cladich fold secured its first ever male championship at the event.
Oban Autumn Show and Sale 2019
A packed ringside of spectators witnessed a heifer from Tordarroch Estates lift the overall championship accolade at the Highland Cattle Society’s annual autumn show held at Oban on Sunday.
Royal Welsh Show 2019
The Overall Champion of the day was the Male Champion - James Dubh of Chadwich from the home of Mrs M J and V M Monk of the Chadwich Fold.

The Overall Champion of the day was the Female Champion - Skye Of Little Rannoch from the home of Messrs MacNaughton & Lawrie of the Kelty Fold.
Oban Spring Show and Sale 2019
The results are in for the 128th Annual Spring Show held on 10 February. The judge was Alun Garton. Female Champion was Capleadh 14th of Craigowmill from the home of Mr KWW & EM Brown.

Oban Autumn Show and Sale 2018
Past President, David Soutar took on the task of judging our 121st Annual Autumn Show. The Overall Champion, a yearling from Culfoich was “beautifully brought out and oozing style,” according to David.

What a show and sale! Outstanding sale prices and a great turn out for the whole event. Despite the freezing conditions, there was a real buzz in the air.

Oban Autumn Show and Sale 2017
The 120th Autumn Show and Sale of Highland Cattle was a weekend of mixed emotions. Members experienced excitement at the prospect of newly appointed auctioneers, United Auctions selling the cattle on Monday.
Royal Welsh Show 2017
The overall champion of the day was the female champion, Princess Easter Bunny of Walton from the home of Mrs Louisa Jordan shown and brought out by Paul Langford and bred by Mrs S Hill.
Great Yorkshire Show 2017
On a very wet show day at the Great Yorkshire Show, Dochy Ormiston had a fine display of quality cattle however the quantity was in short supply.
Royal Highland Show 2017
Judge Willie Maclean took centre stage at the Royal Highland Show on 22 June, judging the Highland classes in what can only be described as almost perfect weather for showing.

It was the first time ever a father and daughter pairing were honoured with judging the Spring Show with veteran, Jimmy Laing judging the animal classes and daughter, Helen Laing judging the Young Handlers classes.
